In Kindergarten, we are learning about “How seeds grow.” During Daily 5 centers, the groups with Mrs. Snyder were reading the decodable reader “A bud is up.”. They were practicing their foundational reading skills of tracking the print from left to right, following along while others read, and sounding out words we don’t know.
In our writing center, students discussed the three things seeds need to grow—sun, water and soil. They were to write a complete sentence about the things seeds need to grow. Their sentence needed to start with a capital letter, end with punctuation and have spaces between words. Their sentence also needed to match their picture.
