Graphing and Sequencing Fun

IMG_0276This week to celebrate St.Patrick’s Day, Kindergarten and Jr. Kindergarten students got to have some fun graphing marshmallows from Lucky Charms. First, they had to sort their marshmallows out. Then, they counted each group and wrote the number by the picture on the graph. After that was done, they colored the correct number of spaces for each shape of marshmallow. This was a fun activity to work on following directions, graphing, counting and our shapes. The bonus was that they got to eat their Lucky Charms when we were done.IMG_0271

In 2nd grade, we were reviewing our comprehension skill of sequencing. We read the story, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?. After reading, we put picture cards from the story in the order that they came in the story. It was a fun, hands on way to review the sequence of a story.
