As the end of year fast approaches, we do have more information to share. First, we would like to congratulate Mrs. Cindy Sperfslage, who will be retiring at the end of this year, after, twenty-five years working in the District. She will be greatly missed, as her early morning phone support, contacting parents to check on students’ status, and lunchtime support will leave a void, which we will all feel, as this position will not be replaced, so the community and office will need to adapt to the lessened support and the new reality once school starts in the fall.
Second, we will continue to collect students’ summer school enrollment forms as registration ends May 20.
Next year, our first day of school is August 24, and the school day will start at 8:00 and end at approximately 3:22. Extending the school day provides more instructional time, allows for a more relaxed time frame for lunch, allows our team the time to address a deficiency in teaching science, and offers time to possibly introduce Spanish as a language program.
Enjoy the week,
Mrs. Nau collecting Students library books
