Students in grades 3rd – 5th examined how life can be like a roller coaster. Students discussed how life is always changing and opportunity usually means that an individual needs to work hard and make good choices. The classes watched a child going on a roller coaster for the first time as they saw the fear in the young man’e eyes.
Students learned that setting realistic goals at home, school, and with peers can help them prepare for their future. When students decide to take the “Harder But Worth It” track and work hard every day in school they will enjoy more opportunity, freedom, and self respect. Students are much more likely to become successful in life by taking the “Harder But Worth It” track in place of taking the “Easy Fast” track. Students learned that opportunity looks more like working hard and building our skills for a brighter future. Ask your child to explain the photo attached above. Help your child to set goals at home, school, and with their peers.
