Earlier this week during MTSS time (an intensive 30-minute time period, which provides a systematic approach that integrates these three essential elements within a multi-level system of support to maximize student achievement). Kindergarten students practiced making their letters but not with paper and pencils. Students, use play-doh, molded the letters to match the sounds. The kids not only had fun “playing” while practicing making letters and their sounds, but also had to use some problem solving skills to figure out how to make each letter with the play-doh. This was a fun hands on way to practice our letters and sounds!
