Enjoy your weekend, but more importantly enjoy your child.
This week students in Junior Kindergarten through Second Grade read and discussed the book, The Fantastic Elastic Brain written by JoAnn Deak, Ph.D. The students learned that our brain has many parts that do all kinds of different jobs. Students should realized that they were the Neurosculptor of their their brain and they were responsible for shaping or molding their minds. We discussed how our brains need to be stretched in order to grow and make connections. Students learned that the brain controls what you do, feel, and remember. The classes realized that you really can train your brain to be fit and strong throughout one’s whole life. Proper care of our bodies and our minds is very important for our success in school and life.
