As a part of our district initiative to create a more inclusive learning environment, all of our students are learning together within the general education classroom.
Our 4th grade students have embraced our students from the former living skills classrooms with open arms- both literally and figuratively! Students of all academic levels are learning side by side within the general education setting.
Inclusion this year has allowed for students to shine in many different ways. We have seen our former living skills students become more social with their peers, increasing their communication and social skills; and we have seen other students step up in leadership roles helping to include each of these students in academic and social
situations, increasing their own skills by helping others, and recognizing and embracing differences and abilities in themselves and others and truly empowering each other to be the best they can be!
We are certainly enjoying watching these incredible youngsters playing, learning, and growing TOGETHER!
