This week students in grades 3rd through 5th worked on honing their Conflict Management Skills. Students role played various playground situations as the Conflict Manager’s ensured that the Rules for a Healthy Disagreement were followed. Please feel to reinforce these guidelines at home during your own discussions.
Rules for a Healthy Disagreement
- Each person is allowed to tell his/her side of the story.
- There are no interruptions, name calling, or putdowns.
- Each person needs to focus on coming up with a WIN/WIN solution.
