We really enjoyed the all school celebration for Dr. Seuss. A few of the activities we did were reading Dr. Seuss books with our reading buddies, doing a math activity, and wearing crazy socks.
We learned facts about Theodor Seuss Geisel. It was interesting that Dr. Seuss worked very hard to publish his books for children to read. This helps our students realize that writing and rewriting our stories is very important.
In math, we graphed all the different kinds of socks that our friends wore. After reading One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish, we used fish crackers to practice counting and reviewing our math facts. It was a fun day with our Van Allen friends.
