Students in Junior Kindergarten through Second Grade read the Bubble Wrap Queen written by Julia Cook which discusses how to keep oneself safe. In this story students learned the B-A-S-I-C-S for keeping themselves safe.  B-A-S-I-C-S stands for Be Aware and Safe In Common Situations. In this story Julia Cook does a wonderful job of educating students about bike and car safety, the dangers of matches and medication, as well as how important it is to follow rules.
