Students Continue to Find Their Super Hero Within.

screen-shot-2016-09-30-at-8-47-25-amThis week the “Older Students” had guidance class as we donned our capes and discussed how Superflex uses “Whole Body Listening” to achieve his goals.  Students discussed, “Can you really listen with your “eyes” as well as your ears???”  That was the big question?  We also reviewed how our brains are our “Control Centers” and eventually our “Money Makers”.  Every career, job, and/or profession requires our brains. Students continued to explore the benefits of having a “Flexible Brain” as we finished our cartoon, SUPERFLEX TAKES ON ROCK BRAIN AND THE TEAM OF screen-shot-2016-09-30-at-8-47-14-amUNTHINKABLES….A NEW BEGINNING.  The students earned their capes and model squishy brains as they displayed, “Whole Body Listening.”   Practice and model “Whole Body Listening” with your child today. Students also identified times when he/she displayed “Rock Brain” and he/she did not necessarily want to transition to a new activity at home and at school. Students shared strategies of how positive “Self-Talk” helped him/her to make the mental switch.
