Last week Third Graders took a trip to Oakland Mills to study habitats. Students traveled
through different stations to read and discuss each type of habitat and what animals live there. Third Graders performed a Readers’ Theatre called, “Once Upon a Prairie”. They learned about different types of grasses and how 85% of Iowa used to be prairie. After a hike, with a stop at the swinging bridge, students got the chance to explore in the prairie reserve. Please take a moment to visit with your child about their trip to the prairie!
