Students Meet a Flexible Thinker

The older students met Richie Parker this week a mechanical engineer that works for Hendrick Motors. Richie is an excellent “Flexible Thinker” as he was born with no arms or hands and he designs parts for the “Most Winning Race Car Drivers” with NASCAR. Students shared how they are alike as well as different from Richie. Many students could share how Richie was like many of their family members because he saw problems as opportunities and not problems. Students also identified why Richie is so successful today and how they could apply those same traits to their own lives. Please feel free to meet Richie yourself.
