All Quiet Today But…

img_1059Yes our hallways are quiet today, and on Wednesday, students will also have another
day of rest. Tuesday is the end of the semester, and Wednesday is the time for teachers to complete their semester grading and reporting.

Friday, January 20, report cards will be sent home, and in your child’s envelope, for students in kindergarten to Grade Four, parents will receive a img_1057questionnaire about your child’s interest in participating in an afterschool program starting in the fall of 2017. If there is sufficient interest, then we will explore the possibility of developing a small afterschool program lasting about one hour per day. Please return the questionnaire no later than Friday, January 27.

Over the winter break, our students were challenged to complete a winter reading goal, and 65% of our students achieved this goal. Not bad, but we can do better. Three classes, Mrs. Snyder, Mrs. Stalder’s, and Mrs. Nudd’s class img_1058reached for the stars, as 80% of their students successfully completed their winter reading goal.

Thank you all the families who helped us achieve their goal, and now we’ve another goal to reach, which is to improve upon this year’s mark this summer rand next winter break!

Thank you and have a great week,

Don LeBlanc
